Pacifica Partners Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy and safeguarding the personal information for all of our clients. We are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personal and financial information. Pacifica Partners has taken several measures in order to fulfill these commitments.

Accountability

Pacifica Partners is accountable for maintaining and protecting the personal information which we have collected in order to help you realize your goals and manage your financial affairs more effectively. To ensure accountability, Paul Bains is Pacifica Partner’s designated Privacy Officer. Paul is accountable for our company’s compliance to this Privacy Policy.

Client Consent

The knowledge and consent of the client are required for the collection, use of and disclosure of information except as permitted by law or for security reasons.

Limits on Collection

The collection of personal information shall be limited to that which is necessary for the purpose identified by Pacifica Partners. This information will only be collected by fair and lawful means. All of the information provided by the client is kept strictly confidential.

Limits on Use, Disclosure and Retention

Pacifica Partners will not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than that for which the information was collected, except with the consent of the client or as permitted by law. Our investment counselors and Portfolio Managers are required to abide by a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct and the Privacy Policy which we have established. Pacifica Partners contracts with outside organizations to perform specialized services such as custody of securities and record keeping. Our trusted suppliers may at times be responsible for processing and handling client information. When we contract to our suppliers, they are given only the information necessary to perform these services.

Accuracy

Pacifica Partners will ensure that all client information is accurate, complete and up to date to fulfill the purposes for which it is to be used. Clients can contact the Privacy Officer to add and/or correct personal information in our custody and control.

Safeguarding Client Information

Pacifica Partners will protect your personal information with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Using various technologies and applying current securities standards, information is protected against unauthorized access, disclosure and inappropriate alteration or misuse.

Paper files are stored in locked, fire resistant filing areas. Electronic files are kept in a highly secured environment with restricted access. Our firewall infrastructure is strictly adhered to. To safeguard against unauthorized access to client accounts, clients are required to “sign-on” using an encrypted password to certain secured areas of the Pacifica Partners website.

Openness

Pacifica Partners will readily make available all relevant information regarding our policies and practices in relation to the management of client information. It is our belief that openness and transparency are essential to ensuring your trust.

Client Access

Upon request, a client will be informed as to the existence, use and disclosure of his or her personal information and shall be given access to it. It is important that all personal and financial information is accurate and complete. We encourage our clients to amend inaccuracies and to make corrections as necessary. To make a change in your personal or financial information, please contact our Privacy Officer or your Portfolio Manager.
